If I could invite any celebrity to our wedding, who would it be and why? Well, that's easy! Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. As celebrities (and their marriages) go, these two people have withstood the test of time. They are the epitome of love and seeing their vows through to the very end…and their end isn't even close to coming yet.
Ozzy and Sharon married in 1982, and just celebrated their 32nd anniversary…this is just 2 years shy of how old I am - so these people have been married nearly my entire life and are still madly in love and going strong! Almost non-existent in a world where celebrities are mostly known for very short-lived marriages, the lifestyle, opportunities and temptations they are being exposed to daily almost always ends what seems to be a 'perfectly happy marriage'. Not to mention they are in the public eye constantly, so it's more predominantly known that "celebrities have very short marriages," and everyday people will use those failings for jokes (like, "I waited for that package to arrive longer than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries's marriage lasted!"), and everyone understands what they mean.
They've overcome everything from drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, infidelity, a plane crash, and even cancer. This couple has seen, and done, it all. I'm not advocating violence or adultery in any means, but if these people can work through the lowest of lows, nothing can tear them apart.
Who else would you want to be at your wedding ~ the day that you and your significant other celebrate, in front of your closest of friends and family, to show your love for one another ~ than two people who have really showed it ALL, to the world!
Congratulations Kristie and Gregory, we can't wait to host your event!
